As part of the MTA’s modernization of two elevators at the 34 St, Penn Station subway station, LiftComm provided the advanced emergency communication systems that support the agency’s accessibility and safety goals at one of the busiest transit hubs in the country.
LiftComm’s elevator intercom system delivers more than code compliance, it provides peace of mind. Unlike cloud-based alternatives, our solution is hosted entirely on-premises, inside the MTA’s network environment. That means no reliance on third-party servers, no unnecessary exposure, and full control over system security and uptime.
Our system is fully compliant with ADA and ASME A17.1 2019 standards. More importantly, it’s designed to serve the people who might need it. Each elevator station that has our elevator phone, provides two-way talk and text communication, enabling riders with hearing, vision, or speech impairments to contact help when they need it, clearly and independently.
LiftComm’s communication systems are engineered for mass transit, designed to last, and supported by experts in accessibility and infrastructure-grade security. Whether it's Penn Station or the next ZFA project, our job is to ensure the intercom system just works, when it matters most.
