The MTA’s recent upgrade of three elevators at Euclid Avenue station marked another step in its mission to modernize the New York City subway system and improve accessibility for all riders. Behind the curtain of each elevator is a LiftComm system that delivers security, simplicity, and hands-on support like no other.

When transit agencies like the MTA need elevator phones that are compliant, secure, and ready to go on day one, they turn to LiftComm, not just for our products, but for the process we build around them.

Factory Acceptance Testing: Plug-and-Play Starts at the Lab

Before a single component reaches the job site, LiftComm engineers configure and test the entire system at our facility through a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). During FAT, we simulate the end user’s network environment and program each device to the correct IP address and communication path.

This ensures:

  • Devices arrive fully configured and verified

  • There’s no time lost on-site troubleshooting network issues

  • The system works out of the box, minimizing install delays

  • Both parties confirm the system is ready before shipment

Site Acceptance Testing: Our Engineers Stay Involved

When installation day arrives, LiftComm doesn’t disappear. We offer Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), which can be performed on-site or remotely. During the SAT, our engineering team is on standby to assist the elevator contractor, confirm operation, and provide real-time troubleshooting if needed.

This level of involvement has helped us achieve a 99.99% delivery success rate, even in high-pressure transit installations with tight timelines.

Built to Comply, Built to Last

At Euclid Avenue, LiftComm delivered:

  • Elevator communication systems that exceed ASME 17.1-2019 requirements
  • On-premises hosting for maximum network control

  • Talk and text capabilities to support riders with hearing, vision, or speech impairments

  • Secure elevator phones that don’t rely on the cloud or third-party data centers

LiftComm is the only provider offering a fully on-prem solution in the elevator industry. It’s why clients who care about uptime and information security choose us every time.

More Than a Vendor

LiftComm takes pride in building direct relationships with our clients. We believe in removing communication layers, not adding them. When a critical system like elevator communication is on the line, you need support that shows up before, during, and after the install.

We make sure your team isn’t just “sold to.” We make sure they’re supported.
